The Constantia Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10 a.m.
According to a press release, this event will commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, honoring the service and sacrifice of thousands of servicemen on June 6, 1944.
The release says other DAR chapters from District 1, including the Great Bridge Chapter, SAR, and the Old Cannonball Chapter, CAR, will join the Constantia Chapter, NSDAR, which represents Suffolk and Franklin. Founded in 1824, the Constantia Chapter, NSDAR recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, continuing its dedication to serving “God, Home and Country”.
