Willie Jarvis Boykin, 93, of 124 Pitchkettle Road, Suffolk, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Robert Ashley Boykin and Blanche W. Boykin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Boykin.

He retired as a painter from Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.
He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Cook, of Norfolk, Va.; two sons, Jarvis Anthony Boykin, of Winslow, Ariz., and Michael Stanley Boykin, of Suffolk; one sister, Blanche Grant, of Portsmouth; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012, at Crocker Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. George Smith. Interment will be in Boykin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
