SUFFOLK — Alvie Lee Hollomon, 77, of 207 North Fourth St., Suffolk, passed away Dec. 23, 2008 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and son of the late James and Lettie Mae Hollomon. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Louise Curtis and a son, Willie Hollomon.
He was a former member of Poplar Run Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Annie L. Hollomon; one daughter, Alberta Thompson (Anthony), of Chesapeake; three sons, Alvie Lee Hollomon Jr. and Frankie Lee Hollomon, both of Suffolk, and Charlie Lee Hollomon, of Chesapeake; one brother, Ruby Hollomon, of Suffolk; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Bishop Dwight Whitfield. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
