Kaine is ‘the man we need’

To the editor:

I hope you watched the senatorial debate on Monday night and were energized to see the real deal — Tim Kaine — as he is, and not as the Grinch the other party’s constant negative ads portray him as.

With no need to disclose where the funds from those ads originates, the money could come from places like Macao, laundered by gamblers from God knows where in order to repeat the endless truths about him.

We know that domestic deniers do huff and puff about the fine job Tim Kaine did as governor, when he struggled with a dreadful economy. As a joker once said, “It’s déjà vu all over again.”

Like Mark Warner, another former governor and current senator, Kaine has worked with both sides of the aisle. Having served as mayor of Richmond and lieutenant governor, as well as governor, he knows the needs of our state and the people of our state. And he knows that sacrifices have to be shared.

When we face a fiscal cliff, nobody gets a free pass. Tim Kaine gets it. He isn’t just a pretty face, he’s the man we need.
