To the editor:

It is coming down to the wire now, and we must decide whom we will trust as president for the next four years.

We have heard candidates stating their positions on various issues during campaign speeches and debates. But are we listening closely and remembering what we hear?

It is hard to form a clear opinion of what we hear from the mystery man. We do not hear the same thing twice. An opinion today will be opposite tomorrow.

Who is the mystery man who defies the nation by refusing to give his financial records as previous presidential candidates have done?

Who is it that says he likes to fire people and proves it by closing down factories, putting people out of jobs and walking away with millions of dollars in his pocket? He continues to talk about being such a successful businessman, but who benefits? I suppose any person who has no concern, no care, no compassion, no consideration, no honesty or anything else except their personal greed for money.

Did networking take place within the greedy arena of businessmen to close factories, pad their own pockets and elevate the unemployment rate for political purposes? Who knows what this mystery man has done.

Think back to some business closures in Virginia. Were they for legitimate reasons or to add to the coffers of the greedy few? Are the frequent mergers of banks and other companies just a way to allow aspiring billionaires to steal? Are the people responsible for looking out for what is best for our city and state networking with the mystery man? Could there be key people in every state who think as selfishly as the mystery man does? How can voters be confident in someone who will not tell how he will do the great things he claims to want to do?

The mystery man puts millions into foreign banks. The mystery man works behind closed doors, for his greedy friends in the 2-percent category, writing off the 47 percent he won’t work for and leaving the nation scrambling to survive.

He does not support equal pay for women. He does not believe a woman knows what is best for her body or intelligent enough to make her own decisions. He will embarrass America when representing us in other countries.

Please do not vote for the mystery man.
