Elfonsey P. Cross, 67, of 2000 Regency Drive, Suffolk, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Louise Milteer Cross of Suffolk and the late MacDonald Cross Sr.

He attended East Suffolk High School. He retired as a cement finisher at Tidewater Construction Company.

Besides his mother, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Armenta Cross; two daughters, Cynthia Howell and Jeanette Scott, both of Suffolk; four sons, Erick Cross (Tameika), Todd Cross (Ebony), Johnny Scott (Portia) and Tevin Cross, all of Suffolk; two brothers, MacDonald Cross Jr. (Sue), of Boston, Mass., and Lee Hobson, of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Mary Faltz, Mary Scott, Gloria Scott, Barbara Scott, Diane Scott and Bettie Sue Scott; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Earl Boone. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
