Travis Nathaniel Skeeter, 34, of Suffolk, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2014, near Barco, N.C.

Travis was a graduate of Lakeland High School, class of 1999. He was employed by 7-Eleven Corporation in Barco.

Travis was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church, under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Madison G. Copeland.

Travis leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Nathaniel and Linda Skeeter; beloved uncle, Jessie Trent; devoted friend, Shamika Cherry (Je’nza); children: Maliyah Pepper; Justin Goodman; Natouris Knight; Daekwon Davis; Triana Skeeter; Za’mya Cherry; sister, Ebony Drayton (Andre), brother, Christopher White (Nikia); grandmothers, Myrtie Mae Skeeter and Barbara Boone; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday, April 12, 2014, at New Mount Joy Food for Living, 307 County St., officiated by Bishop A.S. Hall Sr. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
