Roger Edsell Boone, 83, of Carrsville, entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2014, at Vibra Medical Center in Richmond.

He was the son of the late Floyd and Catherine Daughtry Boone. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Rawls Boone, and one sister, Gloria B. Latta.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted family, a daughter, Toni D. McClenny, and her husband, Raymond W. McClenny II; three grandchildren, Raymond W. McClenny III, Ian E. McClenny and Taylor V.B. McClenny, all of Chester; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, July 28, 2014, at Pulaski Baptist Church in Carrsville, with the Rev. Robert E. Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Boone will lie in state Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk.
