School division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said those taken to the hospital were treated and released. About 30 students total were on the bus. Those not taken to the hospital were taken home by another bus, she said.

School administrators talked with the families of the six students and called the other students’ families, Bradshaw added. A letter will be sent home Tuesday.

The road was closed for about 45 minutes, according to the city press release.
