An 81-year-old female has driven her Chevrolet Malibu into the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in the 1500 block of Holland Road, according to city spokesman Tim Kelley.

City fire and rescue personnel as well as police responded after emergency dispatch received the call at 9:58 a.m., Kelley said in a news release.

The female reportedly drove her car right into the business, which was closed. No injuries were reported after a medical assessment was performed.

According to Kelley, a preliminary investigation points toward driver error as the accident’s probable cause, and the driver was issued a summons for reckless driving-private property.

Officials from the city’s planning and community development department will respond to confirm the structural integrity of the building, Kelley said.
