Police seek robbery suspects

Suffolk police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying two armed robbery suspects.

The robbery happened Monday at the Southern Food Store in the 800 block of West Constance Road, according to a city press release. It was reported to Emergency Communications about 10:30 p.m.
Police say two black males entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who complied with the demand. The pair fled the business on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
Video surveillance revealed the suspects are a light-skinned black male in his late teens to early 20s wearing a red hoodie, dark shorts with red trim and white sneakers and socks; and a dark-skinned black male in his late teens to early 20s wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black and white sneakers.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
