Police are seeking the identity of this man, who robbed a Family Dollar store on Monday.

Police are seeking the identity of this man, who robbed a Family Dollar store on Monday.

Suffolk police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday evening at the Family Dollar on East Constance Road.

The robbery was reported at 9:39 p.m.

An unknown adult black male entered the business, approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk, according to a city press release. He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of currency.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect was wearing a light-colored ball cap, dark T-shirt and a white material around his neck, according to the release.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
