Karen Regenia Fox, 66, of County Street, Portsmouth, transitioned Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Maryview Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Brown and Roscoe Langhorne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Jessie Fox Sr., and sister, Wendy Wright.

Karen was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She continued her studies at Tidewater Community College, where she attained her associate degree in social work and recently graduated from Norfolk State University, where she attained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She was employed with Circle K Convenience Store.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Erica Fox (Damean Rogers), of Chipiona, Cadiz, Spain, Isis Fox, of Portsmouth, and Jessica Fox, of Pinebluff, N.C.; son, Kelvin L. Fox Sr., of Portsmouth; sister, Sharon Shannon, of Queens, N.Y.; three brothers, Daniel Brown, Vincent Wright and Ralph Wright, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Gates of Heaven Church, 112 Beech St., Suffolk, VA 23434. She will be laid to rest in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
