Lady Saints take first swim meet

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ swim team took its first swim meet last weekend.

NSA hosted a swim meet that featured its fellow Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools. The Lady Saints took first place with a team score of 278 points. The boys’ team finished in second place with a score of 183.

As a whole, NSA took first place in six events and had multiple top-five finishes in other events. The girls’ 200 medley relay of Cami Stambaugh, Emma Johnston, Frances Hope and Madi Reynolds took first. Reynolds also took first in the girls’ 200 freestyle. Justice Walters took first in the boys’ 200-yard freestyle. Nic Psimas took first in the 50-yard freestyle and 100- yard free. Johnston took first in the girls’ 100-yard fly.
