A shooting suspect has been arrested following last week’s indictment on charges related to the Nov. 2 incident.

Tony Douglas Powell Jr., 18, remains held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail. He was indicted on charges including breaking and entering with intent to commit rape, robbery or murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting in an occupied dwelling.

Powell was arrested the day after the shooting last year. It was reported at 10:04 p.m. at Chorey Park Apartments in the 800 block of West Constance Road. One adult male suffered serious injuries from the shooting.
