A toddler was taken to the hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening after being struck by a vehicle in a motel parking lot Tuesday evening.

The incident was reported at 8:11 p.m. at the Motel 6 in the 2800 block of Pruden Boulevard, according to a city press release.

The 2-year-old was taken to a hospital following treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue.

The accident remains under investigation, the press release stated. No additional information was available.
