Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

X’zavion Evans, senior, Nansemond River High School football: Evans eclipsed 1,700 rushing yards for the season in a matchup against Maury. He also had a two-point conversion.

Kaletri Boyd, freshman, King’s Fork High School football: Boyd scored a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ playoff matchup with Churchland High School.
