To the editor:

As a past member of the Horton Wreath Society, I want to thank all of the citizens of Suffolk for their support.

The ceremony last week was beautiful. Please take time to drive out and see what 5,000 wreaths look like.

I want to thank the staff at the cemetery, the city of Suffolk, the veterans’ groups, the Moose, the Ruritans, the churches, clubs, the local businesses, the Obici Foundation and all those who were responsible for what turned out to be a beautiful day.

And no ceremony would be complete without Dr. David Lotz playing “Amazing Grace.”
