Closures and cancellations reported for Thursday, March 5, due to the Winter Weather Advisory:

• The Morgan Memorial Library and North Suffolk Library will close early at 6 p.m. The Chuckatuck Library will close at its regular time of 5 p.m.
• Suffolk Parks and Recreation has canceled all athletic practices set for Thursday evening at all joint-use recreation centers. Regularly scheduled afterschool care programs remain in place.
• The East Suffolk Recreation Center and the Whaleyville Community Center will close early Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
• Suffolk Public Schools will dismiss one hour early Thursday. Middle schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.; high schools will dismiss at 2 p.m.; elementary “A” schools will dismiss at 2:35 p.m.; and elementary “B” schools will dismiss at 2:50 p.m.
• All afternoon and evening activities for Suffolk Public Schools are canceled.
• Tonight’s regional semifinal boys’ basketball game at King’s Fork High School between the Bulldogs and Lake Taylor High School has been postponed to Friday at 7 p.m., weather permitting. The site for Saturday’s Region 4A South championship game will be determined after the results are in for Friday’s games.
