A Suffolk man has been charged with multiple counts of sex crimes following a sealed indictment.

Francis Marion Monahan Jr., 70, is charged with 46 counts of indecent liberties with a child, six counts of forcible sodomy, 20 counts of aggravated sexual battery and six counts of object sexual penetration.

The alleged incidents occurred between June 1993 and August 1997, according to a city press release.

The victim was between the ages of 8 and 13 at the time of the alleged offenses, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing. Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
