Two people have been displaced by a kitchen fire in the 100 block of Rochdale Lane in the Mansfield Farms neighborhood.

The fire was reported at 8:04 p.m., and the first units arrived nine minutes later. The homeowner had extinguished the flames prior to firefighters’ arrival, but the kitchen still had significant damage. Medics treated injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and the man declined to be transported to the hospital.

An adult and child were displaced and are being assisted by family.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, and the Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
