Tinto inducted into Kappa Pi

A Suffolk woman was among the inaugural inductees of Chowan University’s new charter of Kappa Pi, the international honorary art fraternity.

The new society welcomed 18 members at an April 13 ceremony in Vaughan Auditorium.

Among them was Bethaney Tinto, a senior graphic communications major from Suffolk.

The criteria for induction into Kappa Pi are an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher, completion of at least 12 credit hours of art courses, an art grade point average of 3.0 or higher and recommendation from the Visual Art faculty.
