Several Suffolk area residents were among the 292 students to receive diplomas during Averett University’s spring commencement.

A bachelor of business administration degree through the university’s Graduate and Professional Studies Program was awarded to Lauren N. Harden of Suffolk.

Master of business administration degrees through the GPS Program were awarded to Suffolk residents Janet L. Ashley, William K. Bristow, Scott A. McGill and Mahrae Saiz Meek.

Averett President Dr. Tiffany Franks awarded 78 master’s degrees and 214 bachelor’s degrees to members of the May graduating classes.
