The following early closures for Friday have been announced:

• Suffolk Parks and Recreation’s East Suffolk Recreation Center and Whaleyville Community Center will close at 5 p.m. Friday. All Suffolk Parks and Recreation Joint Use facilities located at Suffolk Public Schools will close at 6 p.m.
• Isle of Wight County Public Schools will dismiss early on Friday due to the potential for flooded roads in the afternoon. According to a press release from the school system, middle and high schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. and elementary schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. The YMCA and Isle of Wight Parks and Recreation programs will be available at the schools until parents are able to pick up their children.
