Ms. Lillian Alice Croston Goldston, born Feb. 24, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the daughter of John and Mary Croston, third and oldest girl of 10 children, passed away quietly on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009. She married Henry Thompson, of Battle Creek, Mich.
She is survived by her three children, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Belinda Lynette Thompson and Ramona Faith Session and her husband, Angellero Session Sr. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, and her 13 great-grandchildren, her brothers and their wives, John and Celestine, Richard and Minerva, David and Ginger, Jeffery and Juanita, as well as her sisters and their husbands; Norma and Willie James Curry, Carol, Judith Edmunds, Waheeda (Dianne), and Ali, and sister-in-law Lousie Croston. She will be missed by a host of other relatives as well as a lot of extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Manford Goldston.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Sept. 12, 2009 at St. Mary’s of the Presentation Catholic Church, Broad Street, Suffolk, Va. Interment will be in Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery.
