Margaret Ethel Sizemore Floyd

Margaret Ethel Sizemore Floyd, 75, of Birmingham, formerly of Troy, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 at Bessemer-Carraway Hospital in Birmingham.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at Skeen Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include a daughter, Vallie Haney Shipp of Hayden; a son, Thomas Wayne Haney of Troy; sisters, Edith Grimes and Ellen Griffin, both of Troy; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg Ingram, Melvin Barker, Danny Griffin, Kenny Griffin, Pat Palmer and Travis Earl Sizemore. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Sizemore.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.

Bessie Jewell Ragland

Bessie Jewell Ragland, 96, of Troy died Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at Pike Manor Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at Pleasant Hill Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. William Messer officiating and Dillard Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, James A. Ragland of Robinson, Ill., and a grandson Tommy Britt of Banks, and several nieces, nephews and other close relatives.

Emma Hope Buchanan Spivey

Emma Hope Buchanan Spivey, 74, of Goshen, died Friday, September 24, 1999.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, 1999 at Hales Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Talmadge Butler officiating. Burial followed at Hales Chapel Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, E.J. Spivey of Goshen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne Spivey of Woodlands, Texas, and Danny and Sally Spivey of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren and spouses, Andrea Spivey, Courtney Spivey, Aaron and Olga Spivey, Ben and Mary Spivey, Erich Spivey, Melissa and Bret Basham, John Edward Johnson Jr., Jan Hipsher and Richard and Donna Hipsher; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Edward Johnson Jr., Aaron Spivey, Ben Spivey, Bruce Spivey, Erich Spivey, Mike Spivey and George Waltman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Hospice or to the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 126, 125 N. West Street, Alexandria, VA 22314-2754.

Matthew Dillon Trawick

Matthew Dillion Trawick, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Trawick, died Tuesday Sept. 28, 1999 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999 at Loflin Baptist Church Cemetery in Josie with the Rev. Earl Oakes officiating and Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his parents, Christopher Lee Trawick and Jennifer Trawick; one sister, Tiffany Trawick of Josie; two brothers, Mason Owens and Mitchell Trawick, both of Troy; grandparents, Margaret and Wade Sikes of Troy, and Larry and Janie Trawick of Josie; Rita and Louie Richburg of Troy; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hayward Trawick of Josie, Nettie Barr of Troy, Gibrita and Neal Jackson of Springhill; several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Nelson Hamm.
