Bernice Miriam Fryer
Bernice Miriam Fryer, 76, died May 26, 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 23, 1999, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., with the Rev. Richard Hall officiating.
She was born in Pike County, Alabama, a daughter of Frank and Genie Ellis Fryer. She was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and worked for the Federal Government first for I.R.S. and then retiring from the Corp of Engineers.
Survivors include 10 nieces and nephews and a number of grand nieces and nephews.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Duval Audubon Society, in c/o Pat Anderson, 1275 Norwich Road, Jax., Fla. 32207.
Samuel E. Owen
Samuel E. Owen, 66, of Troy died Tuesday, October 19, 1999, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 1999, at Zebulon Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Hayes officiating and Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Owen of Troy; two sisters, Jane Gilmore of Brundidge; Alma Britsch of Inverness, Fla.; two brothers, Alfred Owen of Inverness, Fla.; Tom Owen of Inverness, Fla.; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family request no flowers. Memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice of Ozark, the American Cancer Society or your charity of choice.
