A Suffolk man who this weekend made repeated threats to kill President George W. Bush Jr. is being held without bond in Western Tidewater Regional Jail this morning.
Local police and officials from the Secret Service office in Norfolk arrested Reginald Rainer Reese, 41, of 1847 Mountainside Ave. at his home around 2:40 a.m. Monday, said Officer Michael E. Simpkins, spokesman for the Suffolk Police Department. He is charged with threatening to kill the president.
Federal officials contacted Suffolk authorities after Reese made 15 calls to a non-published U.S. Navy Seal telephone number and threatened to kill Bush, Simpkins said.
