World girdlers winging their way today over wild Siberian wastes
NEW YORK – Albert Lodwick, flight representative here for Howard Hughes, announced at 1:55 p.m. E.S.T. today that the aviator had landed at Omsk, Siberia, at 1 p.m. E.S.T.
Lodwici, who is president at Stinson Aircraft Corporation, said he had been advised By &uot;government cable&uot; of the flier’s arrival at Omsk where 2,000 gallons of
fuel were on hand.
Oxford Church unit meets last night, Mrs. West presides
The Woman’s Auxiliary of OMC met Monday night at the church.
The president, Mrs. J.C. West. presided. A memorial service was held for Mrs. Hattie Brown. Mrs. R.F. Welch read a tribute to Mrs. Brown written by Mrs. J.C. West, and the poem &uot;Away&uot; by James Whitmore Riley. Mrs. Paul Cross read resolutions on the death of Mrs. Brown.
