ATV accident kills boy

A 13-year-old boy is dead from blunt trauma force injuries sustained when his four-wheel all terrain vehicle flipped on top of him Saturday morning.
Nathan Carroll Peace, of the 2000 block of Box Elder Road, died at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters after the 11:15 a.m. accident.
Suffolk Police Officer M.E. Simpkins said the child was riding the Kawasaki ATV off Wyanoke Trail in the Holland section of the city. His father and a friend witnessed the tragedy.
&uot;The boy failed to negotiate a left turn with the four-wheeler and it flipped and landed atop him,&uot; said Simpkins. &uot;After it landed on the child, it flipped again and rolled and landed upside down about six feet away from the boy.&uot;
Peace, a student at Forest Glen Middle School, was also a member of Holy Neck Untied Church of Christ. He was a member of the Holland Hunt Club and a part of Troop 30, Boy Scouts of America.
