Resident promoted to museum educator

Her responsibilities will include developing and implementing educational programming at the museum.
A native of Portsmouth, Rowe came to the Children’s Museum in 1994 as the museum interpreter, working with tour groups and assisting museum visitors.
Rowe also worked in the Planetarium of the museum, working closely with Portsmouth Public School groups and tour groups in providing SOL programming as it related to the Planetarium.
Rowe received her bachelor’s in history from East Carolina College and pursued graduate studies in history at Old Dominion University.
The Children’s Museum is located at 221 High St. in Olde Towne Portsmouth.
