Patricia A. Glancy and Chris W. Ricks, both of Suffolk, were married at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at the Nansemond River Golf Club.

The Rev. Ronald Lattier officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Susan C. Glazier of Prince George, and Jay Glancy of Covington.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Carolyn Ricks of Suffolk.

The bride is the maternal granddaughter of Ed and Betty DeBose of Prince George, and paternal grandmother of Robert Glancy of Harrodsburg, Ky.

The groom is the maternal grandson of J.B. and Nettie Lassiter of Suffolk, and the paternal grandson of Ruby Ricks of Suffolk, and the late Joe Ricks.

The bride’s gown featured a corset top with a big tulle bottom, and spaghetti straps with a scoop neck.

The boning was lined with sequins and pearls.

Bridal attendants were Casey Gardner, Emily Morgan, Jenny Morgan, and Kristen Glancy.

The groom’s attendants were Jerry Ricks, Tommy Rose, Tommy Ricks, and Jason Winslow.

The reception was held in the golf club.

The couple went to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for their wedding trip.
