Kim Rountree, Joseph O’Brien married in Bayside Baptist

Kimberly Hayes Rountree and Joseph Vincent O’Brien III, were united in marriage Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Bayside Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. The Rev. Scott M. Fuller performed the double ring ceremony. The reception was held at Duck Inn Beach Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Hayes Rountree of Suffolk.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Randolph Bolin and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vincent O’Brien Jr.

The bride is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Stephens, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald C. Rountree.

The groom is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Coleman, and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Vincent O’Brien.

The bride is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Randolph Macon Woman’s College, and is employed by Norfolk Public School System.

The groom is a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School and James Madison University, and is co-owner of John Y. Wright Company.

The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents. Talmadge Darden was organist and Christopher Johnson was pianist. Darden and Elaine Ramirez were soloists. Darden sang, &uot;In This Very Room,&uot; &uot;O Perfect Love&uot; and &uot;The Wedding Prayer.&uot; Elaine Ramirez sang &uot;Ave Marie.&uot; Trumpeter was Eric Krumick.

Judith Rountree Pearson of Richmond, sister of the bride was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were: Laura Worrell Barker of Southern Shores, N.C., Katrina Bush Cantrell and Kristina Bonifay Versprille of Norfolk, and Sarah Adams Nance of Richmond, friends of the bride; and Kathleen O’Brien Tucker of Virginia Beach, sister of the groom.

James Vincent O’Brien Jr., father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were: Kevin Randolph Tucker of Virginia Beach, and Edwin Brian Pearson of Richmond, both brothers-in-law of the bride; Carl Joseph Cox, Harry Diggs Oliver and Stephen Vincent Versprille of Norfolk; and Michael Douglas Waite, of Arlington.

Ushers were Doyle William Deguzman of Richmond, and Charles Bryan Marks of Chesapeake.

Mistresses of Ceremonies were Faye Stanley Harrell and Tara Williams Moore of Suffolk, special friends of the bride.

Program attendants were Christine Marie Coleman of Norfolk, and Kathryn Lynn Smith of Chesapeake, cousins of the groom.

Guest book attendant was Linda Lewis of Norfolk, friend of the bride.

Following a honeymoon to the island of St Lucia, the couple is residing in Norfolk.
