Mrs. Erma Vernell Edmonds, 67, of 204 Lee St., Suffolk, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in Tandem Health Care.

She was a native of Enfield, N.C., and the daughter of the late Junious H. and Mrs. Georgia Jones Hedgepeth, and the widow of Elisha Edmonds.

She was a member of Healing Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Casper Edmonds Sr., Ronnie Edmonds Sr., Joseph Milteer Jr., and Donnie Edmonds, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Cyrus &uot;Mike&uot; Hedgepeth and Amos Hedgepeth; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday in Healing Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Ajax Scott. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The body will be taken from Peebles Funeral Home to the church at 10 a.m.
