A four-year-old Suffolk boy sustained minor injuries on Tuesday after a car his mother was driving hydroplaned.
Myra Childs, of the 3800 block of Nansemond Parkway, was traveling on Shoulder’s Hill Road in the city around 3:20 p.m. when her 1989 Honda Accord left the roadway in a curb, according to Suffolk Police Spokesman Mike E. Simpkins.
The child was treated and released from Sentara Norfolk General, and the mother was not injured.
Both occupants of the car were wearing seatbelts and no charges were filed, said Simpkins.
