Mrs. Flora H. Hampton of the 100 block of Birch Lane, Suffolk, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at her residence.

She was a native of Nansemond County and daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Hayes Eley, and the widow of Clarence Hampton.

She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine H. Jones, and her husband, Amos of Suffolk; one stepdaughter, Brenda Crews, and her husband, Charles, of Attleboro, Ma; two sons, Melvin Foster of Suffolk and Dornell Eley, and his wife, Janet, of Portsmouth; one brother, Walter Gray, and his wife, Betty, of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; a special niece, Barbara Jean Jack, and her husband, Douglas, of Portsmouth; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Thursday in Little Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Allen. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
