Gates County man dies in flipped vehicle

A 55-year-old Gates County, N.C., man was killed just before noon on Nov. 3 when the car in which he was a passenger flipped several times when it failed to negotiate a curve.
The victim, Cecil Norfleet, was riding in a 1991 Hyundai four-door vehicle, driven by Christopher Norfleet, 21, as they traveled along Hosier Road in Suffolk.
The victim was transported by Nightingale Air Ambulance Service to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.
Christopher Norfleet was taken to Obici Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
According to police, the vehicle is owned by Clarence Revell of Edenton, N.C.
