The Bennetts Creek Warriors Pop Warner midget football team capped off a perfect 8-0 season last Saturday, sending them to the regional playoffs, which will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Nansemond River High School. Suffolk’s other midget team, the Inner City Steelers (whose 5-3 record gave them a tie for second place) will play first; the Warriors will hit the field at 11 a.m.

Soccer, basketball signups end Nov. 23

Registration for the Parks and Rec. Department indoor soccer and basketball leagues will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays until Nov. 23 at the Mack Benn, Oakland, King’s Fork, and Northern Shores recreation centers. The cost is $35 for novice (5-7) and $40 for Pee-Wee (8-10) and Midget (11-13). For more information, call 923-2360.
