Pat Allen of Chesapeake was the lucky winner of the Suffolk Rotary Club Harley-Davidson Raffle that was held on Oct. 13 during the Tracy Byrd concert at Peanut Fest. The prize was a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The Rotary Club gave Byrd the honor of drawing the winning ticket and a call was made by cell phone to Allen’s home in Chesapeake.

&uot;Luckily he was home when we called him about the great news,&uot; said Everett Birdsong, chairman of the Rotary’s public relations committee. &uot;After he was notified, he immediately loaded his family into the car and arrived in Suffolk before the concert was over.&uot;

&uot;This is the first year that we have held a raffle such as this, and we would like to do it once again next year. Many thanks go to Lynette Brugeman for heading it up We would also like to thank everyone who participated in the event in any way,&uot; he said.
