David D. Williams

David Daniel Williams Sr., quietly slipped into eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Waterbury Hospital.

David was born on June 12, 1928, in Gates County, N.C. to the late Hardy Williams Sr. and Seabyrd Parker.

He entered into the Army at an early age. He relocated to Connecticut from Gates County, N.C. where for many years he worked as a machine operator.

David leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, wife, Iola F. Williams, son, David Williams Jr.; three sisters, Martha Riddick, Bertha Ford and Sally Moody; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 9 am. Saturday at Refugee C.O.G.I.C in Waterbury, Conn.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Chapel, Suffolk, Va. with the Rev. Blount officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Williams Family Cemetery in Gates, N.C.
