Erma U. Bradshaw

Erma Virginia Underwood Bradshaw, 54, of 315 Pinner St., Suffolk, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002.

A native of Franklin, she was predeceased by a son, Robert W. Bradshaw Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Bradshaw Sr. of Suffolk; three sons, Dennis Michael, Anthony Ray and James Edward Bradshaw, all of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Joey, Patrick, Krystal, and Michelle Bradshaw, all of Suffolk; and a brother, Gene Thomas Underwood of Portsmouth.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The Rev. Roger D. Johnson will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the residence.

Jack Cheak

Jack Cheak, 76, of 6603 Holland Rd., Suffolk, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in his residence.

A native of Harlem, Ky., he was a son of the late James Cheak and Maggie Shackleford Cheak.

He had retired as the owner of Little Antique Shop

He is survived by his wife, Helen A. Cheak; a daughter, Dianna C. Wright of Alabama; a son, Morgan Ray Cheak of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren; sisters, Joy C. Riddick, Betty Cheak, Billey C. Stoves, all of Morristown, Tenn.; brothers, R.J. Cheak and Jimmy Cheak of Morristown, Tenn.; and Ray Cheak of Georgia.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6 in Holland Cemetery. The Rev. Lawrence O. Walser III will officiate.

Friends may join the family from 7-8 p.m. Thursday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the residence, 6603 Holland Rd., Suffolk.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Donations, 604 Constance Woods Dr., Suffolk, Va. 23434.

H. Woodrow Rountree

H. Woodrow Rountree, 83, of 4580 Desert Rd., Suffolk, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Nansemond County, he was the widower of Elizabeth C. Rountree.

He was a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan R. Forsythe of Suffolk; and granddaughters, Sarah E. Forsythe and Kristin E. Forsythe, both of Suffolk.

The graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Rev. Cameron Currin will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the residence.

Memorials may be sent to Eureka Baptist Church Building Program.
