Nine-year-old Tiffani is a fourth-grade honor student and excels in language arts, science, history/geography and fine arts. Her greatest source of pride momentarily is soccer where she plays first string goalie.

Three-year-old Kayla is described by her grandfather as being a ball of fire. She excels in singing, dancing, telling stories, and cooking – fixing breakfast for her &uot;papa&uot; from her Barbie Kitchen.

&uot;Both girls have been spoon-fed a daily diet of love, strength, compassion and tenacity,&uot; said White. &uot;It is no surprise that they chose to share their meager savings with others for Christmas.&uot;

The girls are from San Pedro, Calif. and live with their parents, Air Force Major and Mrs. Jeffrey C. Cloyd. They are the granddaughters of Herman and Ella Cloyd-White and great-granddaughters of Mother Eva B. White of Suffolk.

&uot;This Christmas the girls are practicing the holiday concept, ‘It is better to give than to receive. We are very proud grandparents,&uot; he said.

The girls chose to bless someone else as they have been blessed. You can do the same by forwarding your tax-exempt donation to the Suffolk Cheer Fund at 130 S. Saratoga St., Suffolk, Va. 23434, or bring it into the office at the same address between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. from Monday-Friday.
