Lola Boone, 55, of 1211 24th St., Newport News, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, in Obici Hospital.

She was a native of Nansemond County and daughter of Winston Robinson and the late Minnie Darden Robinson.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Boone of Maryland; one daughter, Jeanette Halsey of Newport News; two sons, Charles Edward Brown and James Willie Brown of Suffolk; eight sisters, Clara Jones, Susie Darden, Mary Darden, Shirley McPhatter, all of Newport News; Margaret Jones of Portsmouth; Corean Travis of Gloucester; Gracie Twitty of the Bronx, N.Y.; and Elizabeth Colander of Suffolk; four brothers, Jack Darden, Atler Darden, both of Newport News, Wilson Darden and Junior Bivins, both of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; aunts; uncles; cousins; a special friend, Charles E. Brown Sr.; and other family and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence in Newport News, and will assemble at 12:45 p.m. in Crocker Funeral Home for the service.

Annie P. Bunch

Annie Mary Parker Bunch, 87, of 200 W. Constance Rd., Suffolk, died Tuesday, Dec.10, 2002 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Cameron Currin officiating. Interment will be in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, and other times at the residence of her daughter, Marion Johnson, 117 King’s Point Dr., Suffolk.

Patsy C. Pope

Mrs. Patsy C. Pope of the 600 block of Mason Avenue, Suffolk, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, in Obici Hospital.

Robin M. Wade

Robin Marie Wade, 38, of the 100 block of Katherine Street, Suffolk, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002. She was born on April 25, 1964 in Troy, N.Y.

She was manager of Suffolk Mini Storage.

She is survived by her husband Michael Wade; daughter, Brenna Rene’ Wade; sons, William and Gary Wade, all of Suffolk; mother, Janet Robideau of Waterford, N.Y.; father, Paul Robideau of Cohoes, N.Y.; and many brothers and sisters.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Leona B. Wright

Leona Buck Wright, 82, of 1102 Farmview Lane, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born on Dec. 25, 1919 in Wintersville, N.C., she was the widow of Robert Lee Wright, and a daughter of the late Walter Buck and Rosa Branch Buck.

She had retired from Obici Hospital as a licensed practical nurse.

She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ where she was also a member of the Ladies Bible Class.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara W. and Eugene E. Holland of Charlottesville, and Faye W. and J.B. Varney of Suffolk; grandchildren, Joanne H. Duffy, and husband, Bruce, of Richmond, Lawrence Holland, and wife, Kristen, of Richmond, Joshua Paul Varney, and wife, Crystal, of Suffolk, and Benjamin Lee Varney of Suffolk; great-granddaughters, Mariah Crystal Varney, Elizabeth Marie Holland and Eden Rae Duffy; sister, Audrey B. Minter of Richmond; brothers and sister-in-law, Glenn and Anna Leigh Buck, and Ray Buck, all of Suffolk; and many special nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Dolan Talbert officiating. Interment will be in Holland Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, and other times at 1102 Farmview Lane, Suffolk.
