Cub Scout Pack 50 did its part Monday evening to assure that every child in Suffolk has a merry Christmas.
Every Scout that attended the Pack meeting in the Moose Lodge on Turlington Road donated a toy to the Suffolk Toys for Tots program.
Each of the 72 scouts present also gave $1 to the Cheer Fund, which funds Toys for Tots.
The pack, sponsored by the Suffolk Moose Lodge No. 141, is under the leadership of Cub Master David Bass. It has 11 dens with a total of 80 boys ranging from the first through the fifth grades in school.
The youths, along with their parents and leaders, had a great time as the Scouts lined up and one by one pinned a $1 bill to a Christmas tree.
Michelle Knight, a den leader, counted the money and then presented it to Bill Ashley, coordinator for the Toys for Tots.
Pack 50 has been involved with this program for the past eight years and each year the membership gets larger.
