Alvin R. Taroli Jr.

Alvin Ralph &uot;Butch&uot; Taroli Jr., 38, a resident of Black Creek Rd., Zuni, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his home.
Born in Newport News, on June 18, 1964, he was the son of Alvin Ralph Taroli Sr., and Faye Eure Jackson.
Butch was a graduate of Forest Glen High School, Suffolk and was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church where he was a choir member and Sunday School teacher. He had worked for Anna’s Restaurant in Smithfield and enjoyed cooking for his friends, especially at church. He also enjoyed woodworking, astronomy, and taking pictures of his children. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lora Crumpler Taroli.
He is also survived by three children, Tony Taroli of Suffolk, Brooke Taroli and Staci Taroli of Zuni; two sisters, Jeannie Conyers and husband Scott and Lisa Myers and husband Sean, all of Suffolk; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Rollins; three nieces, Amanda Moegenberg, Heather Perry and Erin Conyers; and step-father, Billy R. Jackson, all of Corapeake, N.C.; mother and father-in-law, Judy and Vernon Crumpler of Zuni; and at the time of his passing, Butch and his wife, Lora, were together anticipating the birth of their twin daughters. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Bruno and Adeline Taroli.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni, with the Rev. Steve Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for The Butch Taroli Memorial Fund, c/o Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Rd., Zuni, Va. 23898. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge of arrangements.
