Edith Elizabeth Blount of Bronx, N.Y. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Westchester Square Hospital, Bronx. She was a native of Holland (Suffolk), Virginia and daughter of the late Henry Jones and Alice Harris-Jones.

She was a graduate of Nansemond County Public School System and Virginia State College (University). She was a member of the Greater Calvary Baptist Church of New York City.

She is survived by 10 children, Alice Marie, Olivia Adelle, Wesley William, Robert Carnes, Barbara Catherine, Dorene Lee, Alvin Melvin, Debbie Ann, Crystal Charisse, and Trina Elizabeth; 13 grandchildren, one brother, Johnny Jones; one sister, Lucy Zapata, in-laws, cousins and friends.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m.

Monday in Picot Cemetery in Carrsville.

The family will assemble at 10 a.m. at Crocker Funeral Home

Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
