First Virginia Bank has new officer in Suffolk

Oliver D. Creekmore, formerly regional sales manager of First Virginia Bank of Hampton Roads in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, has been promoted to the bank’s Commercial Development Division in Suffolk.

Robert M. Boyd, chairman and CEO of First Virginia Bank-Hampton Roads made the announcement Wednesday.

He added that Creekmore will serve as the relationship manager and senior officer in the Bank’s Suffolk market.

In his new position, Creekmore will assume responsibility for the Commercial Business Development in the Suffolk, Isle of Wight and Western Tidewater markets, working out of the bank’s office located in the Oak Ridge area of Suffolk.

Prior to joining First Virginia, Creekmore served as president and chief executive officer of the Bank of Isle of Wight and executive vice president of James River Bank/Colonial, which merged with First Virginia Banks Inc. in 2001.
