Bishop named MVP as Saint swimmers take third

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy junior Brittany Bishop was named the Most Valuable Player at the TCIS swimming championships at Portsmouth’s Midtown Pool on Saturday. Bishop won the 50- and 100-meter freestyle individual races, and was a member of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle winning relay teams. Meredith Law, who also swam on the two relay teams, took the 200- and 500-meter freestyle individual races.
Michael Miller took the 50-meter freestyle, and Billy Simpson came out on top in the 500-meter freestyle. NSA’s boys won the 200- and 400-meter freestyle relays. Both the NSA girls and boys teams finished third in their respective divisions.
