Delia Boney Soule, 71, of Suffolk, died March 18, 2003, at her home.

Born on Oct. 16, 1931, in Elizabeth Town, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Dewey Lucas and Florence Whitley Boney.

Mrs. Soule was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the choir and former music librarian of the church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Herbert L. Soule; sons, Ronald Soule, his wife, Patricia of Albany, Ohio; Ray Soule, his wife, Susan, of Wilmington, N.C.; Brian J. Soule, his wife, Stephanie, of Kiowa, Colo.; brother, Andrew N. Boney, his wife, Jane, of South Hill; grandchildren, Christopher Soule, Kathryn Soule and Tanya Caswell.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. David H. Chauncey with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home.
