Sheriff has scholarship applications

Scholarships are available through the Virginia Sheriff’s Institute to students planning to major in criminal justice.
Applications can be picked up at Sheriff Raleigh Isaac’s office inside the Mills E. Godwin Jr. Courts Building at 150 N. Main St. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requires for prospective applicants include that a student must major in law enforcement, however, those majoring in law only would not be considered. Students must also live in Suffolk and attend a Virginia college or university.
Applications must be completely to be accepted and they must be returned to the Sheriff’s office by April 25.
